Developed nations face a major demographic problem – Lots of old people on pensions but few young people paying for pensions. The result is huge hole in the funds to pay for pensions.
So what do governments do? They have to force us to work later into life. 10 years extra here in the uk.
This keep working ‘to avoid dementia’ article is the first that I’ve noticed that try’s to put a good spin on working till we drop.
Expect more!

I disagree with Roger McElroy’s petition. He thinks all money should be electric so that all money is traceable and therefore taxable.
Yes you make a few good points about the black economy Roger but often the anonymity provided by paper cash is needed by normal law abiding tax payers.
We must demand our governments continue to mint cash to protect anonymity.
If all money is traceable by the government, then it’s traceable by criminals, employers and your mother in law.

Now this is a change that has been brewing since Vint Cerf first started playing with data packets. Free access to scientific papers online! MIT’s “the tech” paper says that the “Faculty voted unanimously” to bring open access to the world of cutting edge scientific research.
As this trend continues and more institutions free up their information, we’ll see a massive reduction in the time it takes scientific development to reach the market.
Keep an eye on DSpace for MIT’s developments.

Google’s famous slogan – “Don’t Be Evil” – has once again been shown to be nothing but marketing fluff.
